New bmw connected app

So I have the old connected app and it worked to unlock my vehicle and such. But ever since I downloaded the new app (with the blue icon) it will not let me register my vehicle. It recognizes my car on the home page and when I hit add this vehicle it asks for the last 7 digits of my vin, which I enter. Then it says it cannot be added. Any tips? Bmw support is useless over email

First off you need to sign on online (connected drive Canada) and check the remote box. The app will not work till this is done. The new app is American so if you click on the link in the app it takes you to the US site. Don't use this link until the Canadian App comes online in a few months.
