couple days ago it was snowing hard , i came to the train station after a days work, everyone was trying to get the hell outta there as soon as they could to beat parking lot rush
there always this yas blue m4 that parks near the front, and i got there in time just after the cold start and the m4 was pulling out without any idling, and this thing sounded like it was gonna fall apart, i was just thinking damn, i know how nice that car is on the inside, and the goodie underneath the hood, to just hear it pulling out slowly, it sounded like a broken snowblower, rattling away, i cant beleive bmw released the car like that |

There is no M2C hype.
M2C is OG M2's successor, and that's about it. M2C is not faster, it's not better, doesn't have a nicer interior, doesn't have an engine which is up to the task better, it isn't sharper and certainly not more planted than OG M2. --->It just is way heavier and sounds like a lawnmower.<----- You'd be crazy to trade in your OG M2 for M2C. What were they thinking at //M GmbH. Idiots. Cheers Robin |

It IS faster, better, it certainly does have an engine up to the task better, better brakes also. Definetly will change my M2 to Comp next year. If I were you, Robin, i'd do alot more research about these vehicles. |

Ok. So you haven’t driven one nor been in one as a passenger. I’ve driven both. Loved the first one. Bought the updated model because it had enough to force me to buy it.

I plan on trading my OG M2 in on an M2C in about 2 years when the used pricing makes it worthwhile. Seats, power, brakes, and that beautiful Hockenheim silver. Not worth $20-25k more than I paid for my 1 year old 10k mile LBB, but when the price difference in the used market narrows I think it’ll be a pretty compelling value.

I think the general consensus is that if you already have an M2, it's not worth trading into the M2C. The only reason I bought one was that I'm coming out of a 335is convertible, and I wanted my next car to take on the track, but had more interior room than a Carrera. The M2 was a car I've always been interested in, but I could not get any dealer here in the Bay Area to help me, no test drives, no deals etc... I had expected the 'new' M2 Competition to be priced near $80k, but was surprised to see that the build I wanted was CHEAPER than the 2018 models... I ended up buying out of state from a high volume dealer at list, they threw in shipping and I got a $500 BMWCCA rebate. My experience was relatively simple and straight forward. I'm very happy with the car, but in all honesty, I would have been really happy in a 2018 model. My heart was set on having a Mineral Grey color too, BSM was my second choice. HS reminded me too much of the early 90's Audi pearl white color, not bad but didn't do it for me. If it means anything, simply embrace what you have, as it's a total badass car... and the sound of the N55 is pure music. I haven't let go of my 335is yet, as I'm still in love with that engine sound/exhaust - and nothing beats a convertible on a beautiful day.

New 2018 M2 On the way!
Hi so this is my first post and I'm stoked to say I have a brand new 18' coming with M performance upgrade 6 speed. I never had this type of car as I'm coming from Vettes and Vipers and a 911 turbo. It's been over 7 years since I was able to get another toy and it was time for a change. I test drove a 17' with performance exhaust and instantly wanted to order a 19' M2C. My local dealer said a lease was very expensive so I had to weigh my options then I found the 18' White with factory M performance exhaust and carbon tips mirror covers black side emblems etc... I decided to go with the 18' instead (3pedals only for me). The price was beyond phenomenal and the dealer was just awesome to deal with and that was that. Should be here Wednesday shipped to my door. I'm happy with the 18'
