taking a chance on a cold night driving isn't something I'm willing to do without winter tires in Massachusetts (under 40 degrees) basically December-March winter tires are for COLD weather grip as well as some snow traction. |

I bought all season Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Good/decent reviews for light snow or even some ice.
But, turns out my inexpensive mechanic ($100/4 tires) does not have the "no touch" (of the rims) machine to change out the tires. Only the older, pry the tire out, model. Anybody know what BMW dealer typically charges to change 4 tires? |

Itching to park it
I've been parked since the storm as well but forced to drive it yesterday. Nice day with regard to no precip, but 50 is mess. As you said, "salt and crap." My wife's car was hit a little over a week ago and we've been sharing our 3rd vehicle which has awd. I'll get a rental today when I turn her car in for repairs, so my car will be cleaned and parked until the weather and roads improve. Also, summer tires are simply are dangerous in single digit temps.

Take it out for a spin if it's dry. With the summer tires this will be the only time you'll feel the car understeer! I drove mine for 3 weeks on summers at temps below freezing... Just keep your distance and check the weather report.
Because YOLO: my car has winters on it and at the moment it's covered in salt and dirt. Looks good on HS. |

Polished and sealed the M2 this past Saturday so she is at home all week in the garage while So Cal has this wet crap falling from the sky. Hopefully get to drive the M2 tomorrow

Few nights ago when I had an 'itch' and when out to scratch it at 1am; I instead got kicked in the nuts by highway patrol, who was wearing some hooker-like boots.

That is 45.06KM over the limit, or in my neck of the woods, licence gone and the car impounded
