M2 Competition 25K above MSRP

My local dealer is charging 25K above MSRP for a M2 Competition. In addition, all the M cars at the dealership are also marked for 25K.

Is that a thing only in the Bay Area?!

Yep. Very greedy. BMW Seattle has one M2C available and it has no markup.

I live in bay area too. Based on my last 3 months' experience, if you want to save at least 3k, go for LA market.

I just got my 18' LCI from Steve Thomas BMW in Camarillo, CA. When I was down there on Friday to pick mine up for re-delivery, my CA told me they've been selling M2C's for sticker. They were one of the few west coast dealerships that offered to do my M2 through ED AND honored the 5% off ED MSRP, so not a mark-up dealership. San Francisco is much closer than Portland to north LA, so you'd definitely be better off.

If you do consider going south, give Jimmy Bach at Steve Thomas BMW a call. He's a good dude and will hook you up.

The nice thing is you can go buy a car from someplace else for the regular price and drive it back here, but you can't do that with a house, unless it's a mobile home....

Sadly I don't think I will ever own a home here unless there is an earthquake. I could buy almost anywhere else though, probably pay cash if I wanted.

Thanks for the name, if I want to do ED in the future seems like a good place to start!
