Good deal from Concord BMW?

Weatherford BMW tells me I can get an allocation for a ED M2C, but will charge me MSRP +$5K. I was hoping for MSRP - something. Hard to stomach the extra $5k on top of MSRP.

How is Concord BMW to deal with? Happy to take an answer as PM if that would be more comfortable. Thanks!

I'd say try SoCal dealerships, don't force yourself to only deal with NorCal dealerships, here in PNW my dealer wouldn't even let me do ED. This dealer knows me well, I don't even need to put deposit on my US deliver M2C, so he knows if I did ED I wouldn't cancel on him. I hear also through grapevines, if you cancel on ED, that dealer lose that allocation for ever, cause they already release that allocation back to ED dept; hence it's hard to do ED on M cars (being allocation is limited to dealer).

Again remember, dealership loves selling M2C at MSRP for US delivery, that easily 12% net profit; 7% over invoice then 5% hold-back. for ED, that is down to 5% (the diff between ED invoice vs ED MSRP) + extra paperwork.

I am not defending dealers I am just trying to make people see why dealer is doing what they are doing AFA ED goes, at the end you guys bargain hard but it is what it is

Ordered in mid Oct, picking up in mid Jan (by choice). Could have had a late Nov ED but too busy during the holidays. It depends on the build week that the allocation is for.

Is Classic giving you the 5% ED discount or US MSRP?

Great news! We put the order in late on Monday afternoon, so GMBH would have seen it on Tuesday earliest. No news back yet. Patiently waiting... :-)

I don't have the exact number yet, but yes I'm paying MSRP less the ED discount. This will be the 5th car I've purchased from them, so I would say they should treat me well in that respect.

Cool, I checked a while ago and they had a wait list so I went out of town. I'm going in Jan to get the car in Munich.

I've got a deposit down for ED with my dealer. I want to pick the car up in late May or early June, ideally over the Memorial day holiday. When do you think the allocation would come up and when should the order be placed to hit that time frame?

Thanks!

Ask your dealer if they have an allocation, if so it will have a build week attached.

I have received a week 4 2019 allocation with a confirmed ED of 2/15 from my dealer (Classic BMW, Plano, TX).

Cool. I'm wanting to do my delivery at the end of May or later. No desire to drive the car in the winter over there. I've heard rumors that there won't be any 2019 allocations after February? They will switch to 2020 models? Whatever - I'm not going to settle. This is a bucket list item and I want to do it right. Probably will never do it again.

Sticker or ADM? Last time I checked they had a pretty long list, seems like that list has gotten much shorter.

Your dealer is willing to do ED, that's a winner in my book already.
Enjoy your trip

it's not impossible, read my post #46.
At the end it's about dealer's profit.
