Felt I needed to say this... (morning commute fun)

This morning the weather finally cleared up enough to take the M2 to work. My 32 mile commute is largely on country roads surrounded by horse farms and other types of farms.
My trip was driven at a rather brisk pace with many gear changes and a few full throttle accelerations. When I pulled into my work's parking lot, all I could do is smile and think how much I love this car!
For those of you who own an M2, have one on order, or are thinking of getting one, you will not regret the decision.

I hope everyone has a safe and joyous holiday season and enjoy the privilege of owning one of these cars.

FYI- 2018 MG, manual

Hey Bimmer
I feel the same way... when I'm in a funk, I hop in the M2 (it's not my daily driver), and head to the canyons, which is about five blocks from my home! Windy roads, beautiful country (well, now unfortunately, much of it is burned out) no stop lights, and often other cool cars on the road!

I also go driving with my teenager son.... we fight over who gets to be behind the wheel!

The M2 is blisteringly quick, handles like a dream, sticks to the ground and is simply a blast to drive! Haven't grown tired of it, and I doubt I will!

I (years ago) previously owned a Lotus Esprit. That car was quick, and also stuck to the ground (in the movie Pretty Woman, Jason Alexander, playing Richard Gere's attorny, gives Gere back the keys to his Esprit, which was exactly the same as mine, and says "handles like it's on rails"!)

The M2 is the first car that reminds me of how the Lotus handled, but it's MUCH quicker! The Lotus was fast, but it was a 4 cylinder turbo, so you had to rev the RPM's up to 4,000, then pop the clutch to get it to take off... no such gyrations needed with the M2, and it's MUCH quicker!

Put it into Launch Control and.... INSTANT SMILES!!!!

Photo below is not my previous Lotus, but looks exactly the same, and same year, sans spoiler!

I had instant buyer's remorse after I bought my car - paid too much, it's too loud, ride is too stiff, and I paid way too much.

Two months later (now) I really love the car. I swear I think the exhaust has calmed down a bit (still too much resonance at certain RPMs) and I still know that I paid too much for it, but it's a blast to drive and I can't imagine replacing it with anything better.

And I've owned Corvettes (including Z06) 911s, Boxsters, Z4, M3s, Audi S5 (V8) and a bunch of other stuff. I'd still pick the M2.

Thanks Greek, for reminding us.

Jealous of these American 'canyons' from videos I've seen we don't have a direct equivalent here in the UK

That's why I'm picking up winter tires this Friday for use in dry weather.

Man, I've been oogling over an M2 for a year now, but its not my time to buy yet. In 12-15 months it will be. How do i stop myself until then? I find myself looking at M2s daily, and browsing this and the M2C board

You hear that ? Do you hear that ? M2 MPE cold start, son. Nothing else in the world sounds like that. I love the sound of M2 MPE cold start in the morning. You know, one time we had a spirited hill drive, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I refueled. We didn't find one drop, not one stinkin' drop of gas inside the fuel tank. The sound, you know that echoing exhaust sound, the whole hill. Sounds like . . . victory. Someday, due to EU regulations, this sound's gonna end.

This car attacks all my senses (ok, 4 out of 5).
It's gorgeous to look at.
The sound is intoxicating (MPE, valves permanently open).
It still has the new car smell.
I love the touch of the heated steering wheel and the raw carbon trim. When I wash the car and follow the beautiful lines of the rear fenders I feel downright dirty
