Memory Seats

First-time BMW owner here...is it normal that I have to press "1" multiple times for the seat to return to the 1's position?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong: if you unlock the car but haven't turned it on, you can push the seat memory button once and it will set to the right position.

If you're already in the car and it's running, you need to hold the button down until the seat has reached the fully adjusted position.

It depends on whether the door is open. Open door - one push, closed door - push and hold.
