Wobble? After KW Clubsport Install

Yesterday I installed the front coilovers & everything was fine. Today I installed the rear coilovers & after taking the car for a test drive it would wobble side to side not consistently but very noticeable.

Car is only slightly lowered front & rear. Will be getting an alignment asap but wanted to see what the problem might be or if anyone had this issue before?

Thank you.

What approach did you use to getting the original rear springs out?

I removed the 2 bolts on the camber link; 1st one was so I can remove the strut than I removed the bolt right behind it so I can lower it a little.

After I assembled everything I hand tightened bolts than lowered car to torque under load.

Sounds good - you got the paint marks on the camber adjustment bolts to line up too?

Didn't even think about that, I just looked under the car one of the markings seems really off or at least not how it was before I removed the bolt. If thats the problem hopefully a good alignment will resolve the issue.

Slacken off the nuts and rotate the bolts so the paint marks line up again. If it isn't much, much more drivable, there's something weird going on.

Wheel bolts: all torqued up? Having had a wheel fall off*, it's embarrassing, as well as alarming...

*someone tried to steal the wheels, but the locking wheel bolt defeated them on the 1st wheel. So I was driving with just the locking wheel bolt holding that wheel on...

Check the wheel bolts first and then the camber bolts; wobble is likely from something moving because it’s not snugged up.

I havent had time to look into the issue. Wheels are torqued properly along with the 2 bolts that I loosened.

Im not sure if wobble is the correct word for what im expierencing. Its almost like the rear makes the car turn on its own depending on surface of road, hard to explain.

It could be that the camber bolt is not aligned properly like M Fifty said. Will definatley update once I try some things.

After adjusting the camber bolts a little the "wobble" is almost gone. I can still feel it slightly on occasion depending on road surface. Im not entirely sure how to properly align the blue marking. I see there is also a blue mark on the rear side of the backing plate but Im not sure how to align the bolt to it.

Thanks.

Well, at the factory someone was paid to run a narrow line of paint from the head of the bolt, across the fixed eccentric washer, and on to the side of the lower wishbone. So reposition the bolt such that it all lines up and that should get the rear toe back to roughly where it should be. Which from your description of the driving experience is the problem.

Unless Im looking at it wrong there doesn't seem to be a line going down to the side of the wishbone, only on the head of the bolt and doesn't even continue to the fixed eccentric washer.

Greatly appreciate the help.

Corner balance, and double check your high/low compression and rebound. Should fix her right up.

Re-checking the torque on all the components wouldn't hurt either.

So I finally got the car aligned yesterday & turned out I had a ton of toe.

Rear left was .72 degrees & rear right was .41 degrees.
