Question Windshield protection?? Ppf? Options?

Hey guys,

I will.be getting my windhsield replaced after i bad rock chip led to a big crack

What is the best option to protect the new windshield from this and keep it crystal??

Ive heard ppf, are there any other options that are good?

I don’t think there is anything. PPF will mess up your intermittent wipers.

Best way is to get insurance that'll cover windshield repairs.

I asked about this at the shop that did my PPF and they said there was a special product they used (forgot the name) but it cost $500 and only lasted 6 months to a year. Couldn't justify that unless I owned something super high end. Just dealing with the little chips for now. Might repair or replace the windshield eventually.

Check out clearplex. I heard it was $250 in SoCal for initial install and then a recommended annual replacement for daily drivers but subsequent replacements would have about $150.

best thing you can do is mimize your freeway driving like others have said and not drive behind any trucks or suvs. my policy when i see a truck or suv in front of me...down shift and drive around them lol.
