Has anyone used Bead Maker? Looks like it works on both Waxed and Sealant covered paint. Can also be used with the car dry or wet.

The application process and claims seem very similar to hydrosilex recharge thread on the stuff in this sub forum. Title is something like “game changer”. I’ve used HSR on my car and am pretty happy with the results. Application is easier than even spray wax.

This stuff sounds similar and is certainly cheaper.

I've been using Bead Maker for awhile now. Absolutely love the stuff!!

Best part is you can use it on every surface without issue. Not every product is truly safe to use on PPF because of petroleum distillates.

I can't keep up with all the new spray on sealant products, ha ha. I seem to buying a new brand every few months. This looks promising and is certainly inexpensive. For those who have been using it, how many months does this last?

I use it as a lubricant with my large MF drying towels, works well for that

I use it every time I wash the car as a drying aid.

With the pandemic I did skip a few months of washing since the car wasn't driven and it was still there when I drove through some rain.

There are products that last longer, but they all seems to have some issue.

Yeah for that purpose it's a great product but as a standalone protectant it's terrible. It smells great too!

Does anyone know if this stuff is any good on ceramic coated cars?

there are much better products that can be used as a topper/sacrificial layer. bead maker has no SiO2 content

Gotcha. Yeah, I had some reload and a couple others with sio2. Was just curious if it was usable on ceramic.

I personally use ethos ceramic refresh in combination with ethos ceramic shampoo

pretty much any silica based spray will do the trick.

I got 4l of the stuff. It's not bad but won't buy it again.

Pros. Smells nice. Can be used as a drying aid as people have said. Easy on easy off.

Cures and leaves a crazy gloss on the car like it's been CGI'd another clear coat.

Cons.

Lasts 4-6 weeks. It beads well but nothing exceptional. Seems to not have that great self cleaning properties.

I have 4l of gyeon wet coat version two. Have previously used v1 and this is much better. Really lasts three months maybe more and excellent self cleaning.

Def have to dry the car after or you get spotting (didn't need to dry with v1 as have very soft tap water)

Go gyeon wet coat IMO

Really depends on what you use it for. I reapply it at almost a weekly basis. I would recommend using it as a drying aid/sacrificial layer on top of a more sturdy base coat. I was surprised, Beadmaker really gives a noticeable increase in gloss.

Smells good, cheap, really easy to work with. Almost never streaks which is a huge plus since I use it so much. Goes on everything for me no problem: Paint, trim, glass. As others said I don't find it to be the most durable. 3-4 weeks max unless you're in optimal conditions.

Weird question but I wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this. Multiple comments say that bead maker smells good and I agree. One thing I have noticed is that flies seem to be attracted to the car. Like in a parking lot, I will see multiple flies on the body panels I applied it to. Don’t see them on other cars in the area. I’m wondering if it is the bead maker smell

Bead Maker smells like pineapple. I have never seen flies attracted to my car.
