I'm using the small two suction cup mount, up close by the head liner.

IMO it doesn't move very much using the smaller mount.

The large mount was laughably to large.

All - Question on this. I am trying to pin the taps into the connector, but cant get it to actually fit into the connector. Am pushing beyond when the pin stops and still get it in there.

The fit is really loose and the pins for the hardwire just pop out easily.

Anyone else run into this and how did you fix it?

Are you using MirrorTap? If so, I found that I had to try inserting the tap on one of the 4 sides of the factory lead depending on exactly how the factory wire was crimped to the connector. I documented my install at http://www.zeleznik-klein.com/m2/fixit/v1/index.html

I used radar mount which looks the same as what you used. You didnt have any issue with the pins just sliding in and sitting loose, ie not actually plugged into the connector?

Try orientating the tap on another side of the pin

That's what I was trying to say, but it didn't come out as clearly. My brain-finger connection is still impaired from NY eve! So, try each of the four compass directions around the pin until you find a side that works. Since the blade is flat, one of these four positions around the wire should work:
