The negative reviews kind of helped me in a way, in that it eventually exceeded my expectations.
However, the centre speaker is a problem and I intend to disable it asap. I placed the owners manual/folder over it today whilst running some of my reference audio tracks on the system and not surprisingly when it's out of play the stereo image is so much cleaner and detail is improved.

Aside from that, I find the system lacks detail but the lowe end is definitely better than the high end, so maybe just replacing the component speakers in the doors, fading the system all the way forward will be a good improvement, short of going for new amp, eq etc.

Oh and coding out the ASD is also a must imho
