Not really. Airbag had to come out so you just need to be careful.

It's pretty easy once you figure out the airbag clips (there's a video of this being installed on youtube) After that it's 3 screws and the couple clips around the plastic ring.

Yeah, the airbag removal sounds scary but it's really only two push releases and two wire clips. The hardest part is lining up your screwdriver with the push releases. Took about 20 minutes total.

I installed mine and just disconnected the battery, no need to remove airbag.

That's impossible. That ring goes behind the airbag and those 2 screws are inaccessible without removing it.

Haha I'll see myself out now. Been a while. I just realized disconnecting the battery was because I had to remove airbag. Doh!
