N55 cover

I've never liked the large cover on the OG. I wonder if this would fit with modification?

Found this post and video. Video is long you can forward through it but this cover will work fine on OG M2. Looks much nicer than stock.

Looks like they have a matte one too that'll better match the CF we have on the interior.

The matte is growing on me, still think I like the gloss under the hood. Does give the engine a different look than the normal n55 cover which is on most n55s across the line.

Practically speaking (as if anything about these cars is practical), I'm betting the smooth gloss would be easier to keep clean than the less smooth matte. The matte is fine inside but it's a whole lot dirtier under the hood than in the cabin.

I hope........

There's already an engine cover made for the M2 for sale on IND. Check that out first.

The stock Intake Manifold is not a thing of aesthetic beauty, so would need to be replaced by something that matches.

Or given a separate cover...

They don't have anything like this, just a full engine cover like stock that's carbon fiber (made by Eventuri).

I like the idea of the half engine cover, because it does sort of look like the old style M In-line six engine covers.

Having said that, I agree with M fifty in that I'm not sure how it would look with the stock intake manifold. On the picture it looks kind of strange and sits up too high, but in the DIY install video it looks better. Maybe the pics just don't do it justice.

On turner's site it also says it doesn't work with the F87 M2, and I'm not sure why.

I have this turner one on order now, it'll be next Feb before they have it back in stock but see absolutely no reason why it won't fit. I've researched this quite a bit.

I reached out to M2DriverWV and he ended up cancelling his order and never installed it. I have one on order from Turner right now, but ETA is sometime in November because of Covid.

Tempting since I already have the glossy turner intake, but I feel like after a certain point, it becomes too... gaudy?

I just got my glossy carbon cover from turner today

Doesn't fix as expected and the carbon weave looks wacky as well

I will be contacting turner in the AM I am hopeful they will resolve my issues

I got one too and it doesn't seem to fit properly on the front left side (where the oil fill is). It seems to be hitting a hose and keeps popping back up and touching the hood. Did you ever get yours fitted properly?

You’re correct, so I returned it to Turner

It’s really to bad but I sent it back for a full refund

I just saw this thread. I'm going to cut off the lower left part and install it.

The Eventuri option is more expensive but fits like a glove.

It makes the best of the situation.
