Hey all,

Im about to purchase some used Carbon M Perf Exhaust Tips from an M3 owner and he sent me photos of them. On the inside part of the metal tips (not the outside area with the "///M" is laser etched) there is some kind of white ish oxidation.. is this common? he said the car was sitting for a while in the shop before they totaled it.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? and if its common on exhaust tips?

I would try using one of these polishing cones with a decent metal cleaner/protectant.

Ill look into this. My detailer suggested 0000 steel wool and some mothers metal polish. he would finish it off with high heat wax/sealant.
