AA Equal Length non resonated + AAbox vs AA EL resonated + Remus Race

Sorry, I know this related topic has been discussed so many times but couldn't find these two comparisons.
I'm currenlty running AA EL resonated + stock DP, muffler and I really liked it but after a bit now I want something louder.

Child inside me want it all out non resonated + remus sports but I've grown too much for it.
so to tone down a notch, would anyone know how
AA Equal Length non resonated + AAbox vs AA EL resonated + Remus Race compare in tone and volume?
These are my narrowed-down options for now.

AA EL resonated + Remus Race is what I have. I was non resonated before and there was some drone in highway speeds. I have friends with AA Equal Length non resonated + AAbox and it sounds good too but I like my setup more. I do have the AA non resonator section for sale if you need it too

Thanks for the comment! How would you compare the two in terms of volume?
I’d be interested in the non resonator section if i decide to go for the AA box.

I have an AA EL non res with a Dinan backbox, stock DP's. A couple other members here do too. It sounds glorious when opened up. The lift off braaappp can scare children. I'm past middle age and it hits all the right inner 16 year old buttons. But, close the valves, and it is very polite. A nice refined sound that also lets you know there's something a bit extra there, but is fine for pulling in and out of your neighborhood. I'd guess the Remus and AA backboxes experiences are similar.

thanks for the suggestion. def sounds great from the videos. Have you had a chance to compare to AA or Remus in person? how would you compare the Dinan against the two interms of volume?

REMUS and Active are louder than Dinan

I prefer the Active Autowerke sound, its got a deeper mid range tone

Thanks for the info! was actually looking at your website to purchase with the presidents day discount.
I guess I'm leaning toward AA.

I've been through AA EL Resonated + AA/Remus Race/Remus Sport and the Valvetronic EL setups.

I think if you are saying Nonres + Remus Sport will be too loud,

1. Res + Remus Race will be similar or even louder (there is a significant difference in volume from the Sport to the Race)
2. Nonres + AA box will be slightly quieter but louder than your current setup (AA Box compared to Remus Race is significantly quieter and more refined)

The EL-Res + AA box was my original setup, but was a bit too quiet, I think the EL-Res + Remus Sport is a small step up in overall volume and aggressiveness.
Maybe the Non-resonated section will help!

But I think you should be clear on if you want Resonated vs Unresonated- besides the unresonated sections being louder, it does introduce some rasp. I think the Remus Sport or AA box will hide it fine, but might come up in the higher RPM's.

The Remus Race is a straight pipe with valves open and a Helmholtz resonator when closed. There is no baffled section. With valves closed, it's surprisingly effective, but never quiet. I've got it paired to an AA Single Resonated and the combination is nice and deep. A valve controller is also helpful.

Thanks all, great info. seems like AA will fit my need. Maybe I'll go Remus after i get used to the AA and need some more but seems like it should be fine for a while.
