It's pretty addicting -I've been purchasing parts from IND and I bought a ton of Adams polishing products and detailing products for my garage.

I'll ask this again, but does anyone have a good source for CF parts for our BMWs? The BMW OE is super expensive. When you search there is so much out there, its hard to tell what is good quality. Personal experiences welcome

https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1626525 I do have an update to what is on that thread too. I only have 1,000 miles on the car now and the front lip has a lot of chips in the clear coat. I'm guessing they used cheap material because it's not holding up even close to what I expected or hoped. If I were to do it again I'd throw on some PPF before installing. More likely just go with a different brand. |

From experience, CF trim pieces are the worst when not properly PPF'ed, and they chip/scratch like crazy. When I had an MB, I had the "Euroteck" CF lip and that thing basically went to shit after 6 months, lol. Chips and scratches everywhere (as well as fade from being in the sun). |

And whatever you get, apply PPF to the front lip or any CF piece that will take hits from rocks. Look at Sliplo to protect from scrapes too. Mine got some rash pulling out of gas station even after the attendant was nice enough to warn me about the steep angle. Quote:

Is there much of a market for ABS parts for this car? While i can understand the track rat wanting to just use cheap, easy to replace parts that will get damaged easily, the majority of owners probably would rather it look nice with CF.

Oh yeah, the impulse buying is hitting hard... also it seems a lot of local guys are parting out things that I've had my eye on for sometime now.
Picked up a BMS Can Flap Module, the IND M Performance Shift Knob and am looking to get an MP Style Carbon Diffuser...

The clear coat was lacking the piece I had received but for the price I paid, I didn't mind as much.. Like they say, you get what you pay for.. |
