So when I refer to $115k it'll be the M2 standard car with all the standard options from factory (which Australia always get it fully loaded).

I don't even understand how the carbon fibre roof option will work... it can't be an aftermarket part... can it?
Excluding carplay there is still over $7.5k in factory options in the current M2, so really the standard car rrp at present is less than 110 drive-away, wouldn't be surprised if the Pure is no longer.

Will be interesting to see how the M Performance roof/bonnet/guards/boot lid work. Aside from the obvious problems with fitting the roof afterwards, with metallic paint in particular fitting those other panels later will almost certainly require the paint to be blended down the doors, A pillars & top of rear guards. Can't imagine too many wanting to go down the path of a virtual re-spray for their new car (in the same colour it came out of the factory!!).

Dealer told me once the M2C is released, only that and the pure will be available. Who knows.

Both Pure and standard versions of the current M2 were released at the same time.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pure is dropped altogether and there is just the standard M2C available that you can option up.

When I bought my M2 in Melbourne last year, drive away RRP was $119k. Based on the German and Canadian pricing that has been released, I expect the RRP will go up to about $127-129k. If you apply a straight percentage increase based on the overseas pricing it should be up around $137k but I think BMW Australia will absorb some of that, as it doesn't make sense given the M3 pricing.

Agree with this. But expect some of the options to be standard at $130k like seats.

with the m2 being 111,806 drive away with no options, a 3.35% rise per germany would take it to 115,551 i highly doubt it'll cost more than 120k driveway?

nesnah last i heard, they're expecting prices to be revealed mid this month, so give it another week or 2?

Canada had a 9% price increase with a few things set as standard like seats, brakes etc. so who knows.

Hope so! I know pricing is revealed for the US then, was hoping for us too.

I've spoken to two dealers that have said the same thing. But then again, dealers can always surprise us.

I think base price with same seats/brakes/wheels will be very much the same price as the current M2. It just depends what level of trim they settle on. If the M4 seats (and i assume front parking sensors) become standard then the price will increase accordingly.
I would expect the new 788m wheels and big brakes will be options. And thanks to good old LCT they won't be cheap.

If I'm right, and someone was to tick all options and then add all the new M Performance parts, I would expect a drive away price to be over 140k 🤑

$111,806 current base drive away price (AW) +
$4-5k increase for base comp incl. M4 seats +
$5-6k (including LCT) for optional BBK +
$6-8k (including LCT) for optional 788m wheels +
$20-30k for M Performance roof, bonnet, boot, wing, diffuser, lip, coilovers, exhaust etc

Adds up mighty fast. That's a grand total of $147-161k lol

Heard the same from a trusted source at a Bmw dealer, price expected to be very close to original M2 price (around 115k drive away).

Expect everything to be standard (except M performance goodies obviously) which includes the M4 seats (the cheaper half leather version)

M2 will have to be priced competitively not only against its competitors RS3 and cla45 but also against M3.

Who would buy M2 if it's $130k and M3 pure is $120k? And M3 proper can be had for $130k

So it makes sense for the car to be closer to $110k...if you add all these M performance goodies that's a completely different story, if it's more than the M3

To save myself from M2C depression, I just ordered an Akra sport cat downpipe and will open the stock exhaust flaps using BimmerLink.

The glorious N55 sounds will be my salvation

Happy to hear this is the case. Hoping its true, but in any case i'm just going to assume 120k without the M Performance items.

Had an Akra evo exhaust with stock dp on my 1M, it was so glorious. Cannot beat the sound of the N54/N55.

On another note that night be a little off topic, but anyone in Melbourne know which dealer is more reputable/trustworthy and has large volumes for possibly easier allocation and hoping for some discount (not counting on it when it first releases though).

It'd be a little odd to see a '2 series' priced higher albeit the Comp version.
Wow that's pretty cheap.
I received an email from BMW last month and they were offering the M2 for $86k drive away without any negotiations too

Hi mate
Are you able to share what dealer is selling the M2 for $86k? Or paste/pm the email please?
In Canberra I am still getting told $103 for a non LCI (!!!) demo that's done 4000km and $107 which includes 10% eofy discount for a new with metallic, DCT, seat warmer, lumbar, LCI and sunroof.
I thought this was just typical Canberra BS price so called Sydney North Shore BMW and they are also around ~$100k.
I would be all over the M2 for that, that's the 240i price I am getting quoted by both.
Wish the dealers would just be upfront, really spoils the buying experience
Thanks, any help appreciated.
