A cop honking at me!!!!

I was driving to work this morning around the speed limit and saw a cop in my mirror. All a sudden, he pulled up alongside my car and honked at me. I was like WTF??

I turned my head and saw a smiling cop giving me a big thumbs-up. This was the first time I encountered something like this. Not suring how I should react, so I just nodded. The cop then drove past and disappeared.

I guess he is probably a car enthusiast and likes M2 comp alot.

Maybe it was the "Honk if you're horny" bumper sticker you forgot you have? Did he have handlebar moustache?

I always beam with pride when cops complimented the machinery I'm driving (or pulled over in). Its awesome with regular cats too. The M2C gets gawked at and admired all the time here in Vegas, even on the strip. The coolest one was when a motorcycle cop hit me up on his loud ass intercom to tell me he liked my murdered out F-350 (stock height, I got it to tow stuff).

I was at a traffic light about a month ago listening to music with my windows down and a cop pulled up next to me. I could tell he was saying something to me so I lowered the music and asked what he said. He said verbatim "Do you want to race?!" I chuckled and said no thanks, my car isn't that fast. He laughed and wished me a good day.

Definitely a surreal experience being challenged to a race by a cop.

I'm 3 for 3 on being complimented on the car after being pulled over.
That said I did encounter an ex-cop who was dismissed for wrecking his police car. Turns out he was drag racing it while on patrol one night down in Florida.

OP that is awesome!

Cops are regular people too. One of my friends is an ex-cop (just found a better paying & less stressful job). He is a major car guy!

They *can* be regular people. Unfortunately I have had more run-ins with badged monstrous egos and power trips than folks just trying to do their job.
