Nah, don't worry about what other people have. Buy what you enjoy and can afford. I've learned that you will never be happy if you compare yourself to others. He built a $150m racetrack and owns several dozen cars worth tens of millions of dollars

My 2017 M2, and my beloved E30 convertible.
Ive had the E30 for 13 years now, it was the second car i ever bought. Its still in great condition.

Its just a 318i, but it really does have its charm.

New garage buddy. Bought today. It's a time machine Z3 2.2 six, 5 speed manual. Probably paid way too much but 50k miles, meticulous history and showroom condition were too much to refuse. What a fun car. You don't care if you are stuck in slow traffic. It revs like a sewing machine, sounds glorious and gets to 60 in mid 7s, but that's ok

The gearbox is an absolute joy. I forgot how wonderful these old BMW manuals are. Feels like you are going way faster than you are which is nice when living in a police state. I'm so used to turbos now that I had to get used to the immediacy when blipping the throttle on downshifts. This thing is therapy. Perfect partner to the M2cs. Two very different sorts of medicine. I've got just enough room to build a double carport to house the WRX and SUV. Cars are a drug that can send you broke.

Nice combo! My E36 M3 gives me the same joy. Only 240 hp so you're not going anywhere fast, probably couldn't outrun today's 330i, but I absolutely do not care. It's so refreshing to be able to rev it out and not even worry about the speed limit, while still be fast enough to merge on the highway comfortably.

I just need to go the other way around and add a turbocharged engine to the fleet. Congrats on the new purchase!
