At first I was putoff by the roof 'defects' but if this ends up being a one-off CF roof @ BMW I think it's going to add to the story and legend of this car in the coming years. I really do like how it looks more than the roof on my M3 when the sun hits it right, slight imperfections and all.

I did not know that. It's a pure carbon weave? How does that compare to other M carbon roofs - are they all non plastic infused?

It's CFC (Carbon-Carbon) and the only M road car to have it; quite the expensive piece. Only other 2 "known" M that use CFC are the M8 GT and M2 CS Racing.

Kinda makes ya wonder...
