Got a build date! Week 10 production (Feb 28-Mar 6). Based on the sticky thread on ordering it seems like it takes up to 40 days from production week to arrive at an East Coast port so expecting it to arrive at dealership mid-April!

I noticed you're in California, if you bought it from a West Coast dealer the ship goes to Port Hueneme in socal. Usually takes a bit longer than East Coast delivery.

I ordered from a dealer in Mississippi so presumably it's landing at an East Coast port.

Great news. My production number was about a thousand higher than yours, so let's hope that means mine isn't far behind!

I moved to Production Begins! This is an excruciating wait and such a test of patience... respect to everyone else who also ordered a car and had to wait months to get it.

Congrats! Mine did as well. I'm expecting a mid April delivery and that's just about perfect. Now I need to figure out whether I want to do PCD or not.

I was on the fence about it, until i read this amazing post yesterday from someone who took a PCD in SC, and is now driving all the way back to Alaska in his new X7. Called my sales guy right away after reading that and scheduled PCD. I'd be a fool not to do it anyway, as I live in Asheville, NC, which is only ~45 minutes from the plant. I placed my order on Feb 1st, so fingers crossed for an early May delivery!

I usually check my build progress a few times a day, but i think I forgot to yesterday. Check it just now and I'm on quality check! I didn't even know assembly had begun.

Your post on going into Production Begins stage was from February 2, so it seems like you were stuck in Production Begins for an entire month??

Yessir. I probably checked it yesterday morning and it was still in production begins. All the other steps happened in the last 24 hours.

I checked at 6 this morning and I was awaiting carrier assignment. Check again when I just got home from work and it has left the factory! Woohoo

Well it looks like my car is finally entering the assembly line, but it's currently Friday at 6pm in Germany. Does anyone know the operating hours of the Leipzig factory? Do they work on weekends? Just wondering if my car's body shell is going to be just sitting around over the weekend until workers show up on Monday to finish the assembly.

Either the online tracker is off or they work super quickly, but I check daily and it seemed the car just jumped through a bunch of steps. Just left factory this morning!

My status moved to Assembly in Progress circa 8:40pm German time. So it does seem like there's either a time lag or the Germans are chugging away on my car on a Friday night. Hopefully the urban myths about cars built on a Friday are not true, because mine appears to be assembled at the worst possible time

I think the timing may be off a little but I think once assembly begins it's 24-36 hours and it's headed to the port.

My car went to status 150 "Assembly Begins" almost 2 weeks ago - it finally actually gets built during Week 11, which is this week. Yay!

What's your initial impression on the color? I saw one from a distance yesterday that was more turquoise than I thought it would be. I'm anxious about it's overall color coming from an Estoril Blue. Every video and picture I come across seems pretty solid electric light blue.
