Used Leather Honey on the seats. Left them with a matte finish. Can't say that I feel any discernable difference. Easy to wipe on. Let it sit for 3hrs. Easy to wipe off. I'll do the back seats at some point.

Interesting. I had used the stuff a few years ago with my E36 and had a nightmare with it. left a sticky film that I couldn't get off and had to go back through scrubbing with lexol to get off.

Used it on a leather jacket too. Seems to be good stuff. I still question if our leather is coated with something already.

Yes it's semi-analine coated leather.

Does this mean that is pointless to try and condition? I've read some things that say the merino leather can be conditioned, but have also been told that it can't because of the coating. I have zero education on caring for a leather interior.

Not sure if his cleaning product answers are the right ones, but this 25-year veteran detailer has a lot to say about different types of leather (including semi-aniline) and their care.

https://www.best-auto-detailing-tips...ther-care.html

Basically he says the semi-aniline is coated and to use Simple Green or diluted Simple Green and a Chemical Guys horsehair interior cleaning brush on your new semi-aniline leather seats. He knows you will be skeptical.

More aggressive brushes for older or dirtier leather, and conditioners for the clear coating, not for the leather, per se.

Since were already taking this thread off the rails, why not continue the experience.

I was really impressed with the level of detail of knowledge of their products in the industry from these two videos. It's what encouraged me to Buy their product and use it on my car. I am finishing the editing on the application video over the next day or so. In the meanwhile I did use their product on my X5M, which you can find on my YouTube channel. I was happy with the results.

Someone already smacked into my car in the parking garage. I was suspicious with how close they were to my car. I backed up and looked all over. I think PPF must have helped. While wheel cleaning tonight i noticed a scuff on my grill. A tiny ding in the paint and my grill was really loose. Not sure if a piece broke or rests on it. Anyhow. I seem to have reset the bracket. I'll ask dealership to look at it. I showed my wife and she said the police would laugh at me. I looked again and am sure she is right.

aaaah, that sucks. Good to hear it sounds very minor, but still not what any of us are looking for.

Sorry Dave. I'm going to hope they didn't realize what they had done. Hopefully the PPF did it's job in protecting from parking lot scrapes.

Or they were in the "what's wrong with using the other car as a gentle backstop to make sure I have used all the space" camp. Seriously, I have met people that don't think there is anything wrong with bumping the other car. "Dude, that's why they call them bumpers. Sheesh."

It dinged the paint just under where the PPF stops. It's really minor, and no one but me would likely notice. In all honesty, I didn't see it happen, so there is a chance it's not the vehicle that raised my suspicion. I didn't realize the PPF wasn't wrapped around on this part like it is on the hood, but I can also see not want the grill to potentially rub on the PPF.

I can't believe how much better these cup2s are in the wet compared to the Pzeros. Excellent tire.

Yes, totally. Pirelli P Zero are horrible tires. Horrible on the street and even worse on the track. The only pirelli tire I like are the Trofeo R.

That's good to know. How about tire noise? If they're not too bad I may switch to them when it's time to replace the PSS (alternatively may go to PS4S if they're an option).

Ditch the PSS. Cup 2 C are the tyre that was used in development. It never gets that cold here to be a concern. They are SO GOOD.

Also. P Zero came in many flavours. The P Zero Giallo was the best tyre I ever had on my WRX. Same one Prodrive fitted to their P1. It was a road tyre that I could do mid 12s at Wakefield (no engine mods), lasted forever, just a brilliant tyre. It got discontinued. I should have bought a load of them.
