discount on 2021 M2C

hello,

I am in the market and looking for a 2021 M2C, need some guidance on:
* has any one ordered yet?
* are there any discounts available, dealers are pretty much set at MSRP.
* is ED still possible if taking delivery of car by dec2020 ?

any other advise for me ?

Discounts are always available, all depends on your location and demand/supply.

I believe BMW ended ED due to the pandemic

Yep. Go outside of Texas. I got my discount and it only cost me a 7hr drive. Pretty good return on my money for $6k.

If they really are, then you need to expand your search area. Also, find the dealer in TX that has the most inventory of M2s (or cars), they are usually the ones to give the best deal, and then make them an offer. If you find a dealer that has the exact spec you are looking for in stock, that's your best bet to a good deal

If I recall, they decided to end ED for other reasons, and the Pandemic just killed off the European vacations of those who managed to snag the last few ED deliveries. Very sad.

As you know, these are RWD cars. Maybe look in the frozen northern areas of the US for a discount? We have had folks coming up to NM just to avoid a markup from AZ dealers? Weird.

Wow that seems like a great deal. I'd be more than happy to do a road trip to get savings like that

I'm in the chilly north (Vt) and drove a few hours south to pick up my 2021. No real discount but I picked up the car I wanted. Find the ride of your dreams and buy it.
BTW - sweet ride home...... ;-)

thanks everyone who provided me the info, working on it.
Always been a BMW car owner (bought CPO mostly), this is the first time I plan to pull the trigger on a new car (M2C) and always dream of getting a ED for the experience.
I am very disappointed that ED is not being offered any more it may open up in a year but then there will be no F87 left to order.
It would have been so nice to have the ED, I am super confused now what to do, should I wait to see when ED will open up and then put the order? or have the order in but tell them to delay it as much as they can ? I definitely want ED, will love to hear what others are going through.

With no ED available, I'd look into the Performance Center Delivery. If you've not done anything like that, its a great experience.
It would make a great bonding road trip from Spartanburg SC to TX.

Don't count on ED coming back anytime soon (or ever).

Its not all bad, the downside to a car with little options or paint is that there's a much bigger chance of multiple dealers having the car exactly how you would spec it. Shop around.
