What don't you like about the sound?

For me it's pretty close to perfect. A little deeper and louder than M2C, none of those kiddy fire cracker night sounds and builds to a lovely crescendo as it revs. A bit like BMW sixes used to sound.
Personally I think it's too soft.

For a CS I would have expected more. Keep in mind I just picked up the car last Saturday and only for 450kms on it so still new.

First bmw so I'm assuming this is how they sound compared to my last car which was a c63 (latest model) which was an animal v8

Especially for a CS I'm disappointed in the exhaust sound.
I'm very happy with the volume change with just the rear backbox, the remus has a very very deep tone to it which I like.

I've heard two other setups in person and here are my thoughts on those

- Milltek EL , this exhaust does not sound good at all... very tinny and raspy. Most likely due to it being designed for OPF cars it doesn't work well with non OPF. The owner had it on for 1 day and took it off.
- AA EL Midpipe - the midpipe creates a very nice "scream" when you are getting on it but it is a very subtle noise change from stock so better suited for those that want a small sound increase.

Happy to meetup for you to hear it, Suj has told me about one of his m2 cs customers getting an akra and I'm assuming it's you. (I bought my remus off Suj as well)

Was that a non resonated EL midpipe with stock DP and backbox? Also did you go for Remus Sport or Race? Any issues with fitment? Vids would be nice!

Yes it was a EL non resonated mid paired with stock dp and rear muffler.

Mine is a Remus Race, fitment is good and my shop had it installed in about 45minutes. There's lots of adjustments that can be made on the remus system to get it to sit where you want.

Hi Guys,

Anyone on here not liking their choice of gold wheels on their m2cs and would consider swapping their wheels from Gold to black?

I picked up a cancelled order and the car came with black wheels...my first preference was gold.

Thought i'd check on here first before having them painted.

Based in NSW

thanks in advance.

I believe one of the sales at Hornsby BMW (Sydney) posted in our syd m2 group,

They have a white cs for sale, maybe give them a yell

"One M2 CS available - last one in the country.
White. DCT. Black wheels. Red calipers.
$163,900 D/A
Contact me for more info if you’re interested."

That'll be the one from Essendon, Vic. Apparently was a dealer swap, and the principal didn't know about the deal until last minute. Was for sale here at 168k, the difference being stamp duty variation. Had a couple of funky waves in the carbon roof on the passenger side - character I say! Looks lovely in white.

Thanks for the heads up! However I think I'll try and wait for a manual to appear on the used market now they're all gone.

Gorgeous! One true masterpiece of the breed ;-)

Question regarding PPF: normally the advertised lifespan is 5-10 years, what happens afterwards? For cars for weekend fun drive, there is no sign of PPF aging after 5 years, do I need to do anything about the PPF? Leave it, or do a refresh (re PPF) at some stage later.

Don't sell it!

I'd start at 200k and see how you go. Fair few people missed out and are willing to pay I believe?

If you're happy with 170k, then nothing wrong with testing the market at that figure. I believe a manual BSM sold for 165k second hand a few weeks back? It's a real shame you haven't been able to enjoy it before selling.

Why not? Start high, then meet somewhere below.

The way the second hand market is at the moment anything is possible. It is madness out there.

I know this is way off topic but is that an EG civic in Harvard Blue next to your CS?
Used to have one just like that, could it possibly be....?
