Any feedback on the coilovers? And did you go with the SA 300/600 combo?

I got the Single front/Double rears with the 400/700 lb springs. The coils feel very planted and absorbs bumps pretty well. If you daily drive, you should probably go for the 300/600 lb spring rate. But I think the most noticeable improvement is the sharper turn-in feeling from the camber plates! TC Kline is very responsive if you have any questions, definitely shoot him an email!

Installed some new seats. Recaro polepositions on voss competition mounts. These mounts uses the oem sliders. A realy nice improvement over the stock seats.

BimmerCode. Fake engine noise gone. Flashing brake lights added.
Already had ODBLink MX+ as it was recommended by Harry’s Lap Timer.

I definitely need to start doing some research regarding this bimmercode thing. (It sounds like VCDS to me, coming from a VW)

I'll add what I've done the last couple days.

Saturday - Picked up the car, drove it home, and begin with the following:

1. Remove the 'licence plate' sticker that the dealership refused to remove
2. Swap to black grills (no more M2 badge)
3. Remove M2 badge from the boot lid

Sunday - Unveiled the car to my brother. I hadn't told him I purchased this, and my excuse for previously wanting to purchase a second car had disappeared the day before I bought it.

It was quite an interesting response, as he did not see it coming, and I had the car cover on it, which didn't cover the bottom lip. It is white, like my other car, so he when he asked to use my compressor, and I opened the garage, he thought it was the VW. Than he realised he was standing beside the VW! We went for a good ride afterwards.

That was the very "must" mod.

You said OEM mounts, but in picture on the table it shows Manual Slider Handle? Is that correct? Over here we only have Power Seats. Did you have any problems coding out airbags and Passenger seat sensor?

Okey, didn't know that. In europe or at least sweden the car comes standard with manual seats. powered seats is an option. I haven't coded the airbags yet. Will hopefully get it done tomorrow.

Finally used BM3 to code out the cold start. With the Fabspeed cat and no resonator, it was ridiculous on cold start. Now that the Dinan muffler is about to be here, I needed to quiet the car down on cold start for the good of the neighborhood.

Looking forward to loading the ACN 91 stage 1 tune on, but I'm not expecting too much.

I want to do that so bad, but my warranty isn't out until December, so I'll have to wait a bit. I don't mind the start up roar, but the cold start has to go!

Was considering this as well, but heard some people reporting rough idles. Curious if you have that issue as well:

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...8&postcount=21

Personally, I just close my valves and tap the accelerator right after I start the car and hold the RPM's ~200 higher than normal. Quiets it down a ton. Good to go after ~15 seconds.

So far, no. I had seen those reports but I haven't experienced anything like that yet.

I'm aware of the part throttle trick, but I don't necessarily like waiting the roughly 30 seconds it takes to do that every time I start the car in the morning.

Since I'm adding a charge pipe, boost pipe, and intercooler when I install the Dinan muffler and M2C braces later this month, I made the choice to go BM3 now because I'm looking forward to the potential room for some more power as well with the ACN 91 tune.

What setting did you use? I'm not too familiar with BM3 but I've heard there is a cold start delete setting as well as an idle rpm adjuster. Curious what you changed specifically as I may do the same in the near future.

Just the cold start cat warm up delete.

I did not touch the cold start idle settings. At least with the stock muffler section, the cold start idle is perfectly pleasant. I am also running ASD deleted and valves permanently open through my macht Schnell controller, although both of those functions could be done via BM3 if I didn't already have the controller.

Once I add the Dinan muffler to my fabspeed cat and resonator delete we'll see if I change anything.

Finally put my order in for my customized plate! CA has been shut down due to COVID even though it's a purely online process, I checked today and it was now working again so I put in my order.
