Probably. People said 10 mm rub. I bet I could have gone 7.5 or 10 but then the gold wheel (not tire) would stick out of the wheel well

What this plastic parts are meant for?

Do you get rid of them with no issues?

So in principle you can take them off the car, right?

Yep. It is fairly simple from some posts I saw previously. Probably a screw /Rivet .

Simple indeed.
After four years, we have a mandatory vehicle inspection in Belgium. I will then have to have the extensions set up again.

I really like them on the Misano blue with black wheels. If I was in a market that didn't have them fitted I would probably fit them. Also with HS and AW with black wheels. Not sure about other combos, maybe clean look is better on those.

With you on this - I think they look good on car configs with black wheels.

Im thinking of ordering their new equal length mid pipes
I have their equal length (unresonated) midpipes paired with the Active Autowerke valved axleback for about 2 months now. Installation was simple minus trying to figure out the valve part (they use a pin style to move the valve from the motor). I wish they stuck to something similar to the OEM valve design setup (maybe it'd rattle less then... I have not had time to raise the car and look underneath to confirm that this is where the rattle is coming from yet). I've seen a lot of other valved exhausts (not on a BMW, particularly) also rattle. The fitment is fine, but there's a part that gets real close to a part in the back. I wish I took pictures. Can't remember if it was the rear diff or subframe. Again, I'd have to look underneath my car to determine the source of the rattle.

It definitely is loud, especially with the valves open. Until the car warms up to temp, feels like the two settings are loud and louder. haha. Once the car is warmed up though, the closed valves setup is decently quiet and the open valves are noticeably louder. On freeway driving just cruising, the drone is real loud on open valves. It's nice when you close the valve though. I haven't done a WOT pull yet so IDK how that sounds like. Car is still in break in mileage. Driving around town with the valves open doing normal acceleration to 3000-3500 RPM sounds real nice though! WOT would probably be excessively loud. Not sure if you'd want the valves closed at WOT though as I do not know how the back pressure would affect reliability (it's why stock programming opens at WOT and why many tuners say to open valves when doing WOT on their tunes). Anyway, those are just my 2 cents. I guess I'll learn more once I'm able to lift up my car again though.

Well, my Akrapovic exhaust for my CS arrives tomorrow, but it'll be a while before I can install it since the AA EL midpipe isn't going to be here until sometime in May, supposedly....So it'll just sit in the box until then.
