Just an FYI for anyone on the West Coast - Southwest looking for an allocation:

- Chapman Chandler in AZ has a fresh one as of today or tomorrow
- Monterey in CA has one that is currently at code 111, so a bit of time to customize it before it gets on the assembly line

here's the dates for my car as best as i can tell from mybmw website:
4/7 - assembly line
4/7 - quality check
4/8 - awaiting carrier
4/8 - dispatched from factory
4/9 - at port
4/12 - in transit

i actually called the BMW genius line on 4/12 hoping to get the ship name and delivery ETA but they could not give me those details on 4/12. i called back later in the week...4/15, i think...and the genius still could not give details...the service rep apologized that they had been having "system issues" all of that week. however, according to vesselfinder, apollon highway departed bremerhaven on 4/11, so my car left port that day.

it's a little bittersweet that apollon highway will pull into the port of baltimore this weekend, so my car will actually be less than 20 miles away from me as the crow flies...but i won't be able to pick it up through PCD until 6/4 because of the backlog of deliveries at the performance center...

- BMW of San Rafael just pinged me saying they have one allocation at MSRP. So anyone contacting them should ask for the Maboomba discount to seal it

I added some extra time to my delivery.... by switching to PCD. It is likely going to add a couple very long weeks, but I would regret it if I didn't take the opportunity.

Had a similar thing when I bought my Fiesta ST - Ford offered the Octane Academy. I never did it and regretted that.

Flights to Greenville are also dirt cheap with covid lol

yep...i likely wouldve had my car this week...maybe next at the latest if i had taken local delivery. the earliest PCD date i could get was first week of june...so is a solid 5-week wait.

Thanks for the info, my status changed to in transit so it ended up sitting at the port for about two weeks. I called BMW Genius and the rep said it's on the Hoegh Bangkok. That ship is currently waiting to dock in Newcastle, UK tomorrow, then it's headed to Southampton, UK and then scheduled to be in Baltimore on May 7th. Assuming it will take a few days to clear customs and get delivered to my dealer. Hoping that I will be able to pick it up the weekend of May 15th.

Yeah originally scheduled for week 20! Hope yours gets on the assembly line quickly! My CA said we should be able to schedule my PCD once it's on the boat. I hope the delay for that isn't too long, but looks like some people on here are waiting an extra 4 or 5 weeks. That's going to be tough, but completely worth it. I drove down to Spartanburg on Friday for 1-day M School, and it was the most fun I've had in recent memory. The facilities, instructors, and everything else is top notch. I cannot wait to take delivery of my car there!

If PCD, it will probably go to Port of Charleston and then via rail to Inland Port Greer.

My car arrived at Port Hueneme last week on the Gentle Leader. It left the VPC today headed for the dealer (Chandler AZ), and I'm picking up on Friday. Original estimate of 12 weeks to delivery proved to be almost spot-on. Won't be long now!
