I'm curious, did they cut out the old moulding around the glass frame from first windshield and glue it on the new one, or did they use a new moulding?

They used new moulding. The installer even said offhand he wasn't sure why they did not install the moulding at the factory. A machine could likely do a much better job of applying it correctly than any human could.

That being said, he did a great job. I closely inspected it and could not tell anything had even been replaced.

That was litmus test for if they did a good job and Allstate even paid for the KAFAS camera calibration, so I agree with you.. Glad it worked out.. 👍🏻

For reference, here is the old windshield markings. (closeup photo). and the new windshield markings. Being that they are identical, I'd say this is definitely factory glass.
