MVista - your feedback sums up what I believed to be true, researching the past couple of months. Great to hear your experience is all that and seeing your result - sharp! And 100% in agreement, not a fan of the GTS style hood.

AUSf22 - Damn you! Piling on with another great looker. I'll blame you both when I head down this path, hopefully sooner than later. Ha.

Freakin’ awesome!

What tracks do you take it to? Are you adding a five point belt?

Thanks!

Haven't tracked this M2C I may or may not in the future. Keeping the OE belts for now

Here in SoCal I've been on Cal Speedway, Willow Springs and ButtonWillow (Evo VIII & X currently tracking my GR Corolla)

Just curious did they indicate any issues with the coolant tank during install? Mine also rubs the hood and I've had to glue a piece of foam to keep it from wearing the paint off right around where hose is in the back.

Installed FTP charge pipes and J pipe as the stock ones were cracked. Fit well no issues with the quality.

ALCON:

Last weekend, drove from Reno, NV to the Bay Area to have Farkle do his magic on my 2021 M2 Competition. To say the least, improvement is an understatement. I chose the M4 GTS tune and adjusted the exhaust flap to be fully open in Sport / Sport + mode along with improving the throttle response to the point I thought I was driving an old cable actuated gas pedal sports car, no lag what so ever! Did a few other changes to the operations of the car to my liking.

In short, everything has been moved up a notch in performance, that is, Economy is now equal to Sport, and Sport is now equal to Sport +. Sport + is just another whole level of performance. Best part is, no issues the entire drive back to Reno over the Sierra Nevada Mountains (Donner Summit). No change in MPG the entire trip.

To those sitting on the fence in getting this done, reach out to Farkle and ask him any questions that you may have. He is a great guy to work with.

Cheers-
DZSO

It's a pain in the ass lol.

If you can get to the VC you're way ahead of the game. You can just move the charge cooler out of the way instead of removing it. Get a TQ wrench that does angle. The angle tool that is shown in the video does not clear certain bolts due to the body, Take your time. Plug all possible areas that you could drop something in especially the injector ports.

The bolts on my car were extremely tight. Make sure you have a quality E-torx that grabs all of the bolt head. These bolt heads are a little short. I had to grind down a socket to get a better fit. You will find that the lower bolts will come out very wet with oil. You need to remove this oil from the holes. Use long q-tips.

I think that's it. There are videos on removing the VC and the ledge bolts.

Changed the oil for the first time in my ownership. I've had the car since June and the warranty runs out next month. I decided to do a little maintenance so if I spot anything wrong I can still get it covered. I took the bottom covers off and had a good look around. Did some cleaning, etc. Happy to say all is great and I can cruise into post-warranty life.
I put Amsoil European formula 0W-30 in it.

What do you estimate the cost and time. I keep seeing my dealership advertising $175. See s steep, but I'm guessing $75 parts and $100 labor.

Just the oil will be about $75, plus filter and gasket. Not to get into the oil decision fight, but I prefer this, LL01 certified and a better viscosity:

Quite late post, I put this on right after Thanksgiving but I was cosplaying Chopper from One Piece.

Blue nose, antlers with a metal band around one, and the white x on top of the windshield. If I knew how to Vinyl wrap I could've done the roof in pink/red and put the x there but too much work haha.

Detail day! Since I ordered and purchased this car in 2019, I have protected the finish with Griot's 3-in-1 Ceramic liquid wax on a regular basis. This has great protection but has no polishing abilities. After 5.5 years as my DD, it still looked great but I knew there were swirl marks (fortunately they are not easily visible on this color). Since a have a never-used Porter-Cable random orbital buffer, I decided to give the car some love. My son came over with his 2021 GTI and we did both cars.

1. Wash and clay bar (I don't actually use clay anymore; I used the fine synthetic clay mitt from Griot's).
2. Applied Griot's Ceramic All-in-One with a mild cleaning pad using the Porter-Cable. This product contains mild correction abilities perfect for our needs along with a long-lasting ceramic protectant.
3. Buff and finish the rest of the cars' trim, windows, wheels, etc.

With both cars it took the better part of the day, but it was fun doing it with my son.

Happy holidays and New Year!

Got a link for the rubber mat that fits in that spot? That charger is pretty useless, and I could use the extra storage space.
