Sigh - What are folk doing about the Front License plate?

Feeling pretty "zero good options" on this topic. Not running a plate absolutely does not work in my area (police reasons). I don't want to drill, I don't want to cover the intercooler, and I don't like the off-center tow hook mounts (but that's probably the least terrible of the options).

What are you folk doing and what did you buy?

Tow hook mount (2 pins to attach - takes 5 seconds)...you don't have to keep the plate on, just keep your car clean and the plate ready on the floor in the back for the inevitable "Oh, my bad officer, I just washed the car and forgot to reattach the plate. Here, let me do that right now. Thanks for reminding me." ...still pretty clean with only the mount showing and doesn't block any air flow...forgive the pic, but I don't have an M2C, just a lowly OG M2

Yeah, I'd rather not get pulled over at all. Plate goes on and stays on.

You have listed all of the options, and others are not viable for you because you do not want to drill...what more do you expect then? Put it in your windshield if that works, but you probably will still get pulled over. Search around here for magnetic attachment. Someone tried strong magnets glued behind the bumper. Just asking for scratches IMO, and for it to disappear. I used the tow hook myself. No one cares if you have or dont have a plate really. I never got the big deal.

That's just weird (but what I think has no bearing at all on which states you enjoy, so glad to hear that you like Flordia since you live there).

I think you and I would be scoring states on very different criteria.

I like guns, cars, and women, so I rate off that. LOL

That being said, I love the mid west for visiting.

I still think the Carbonio no drill mount is the best option as I personally don't like the offset tow hook mount.

I know you mentioned that you don't want to block the intercooler, but I had one of these on a previous M car and I know several people locally that have them on their M2s. Nobody has ever had a problem with the mount blocking air flow to the intercooler.

Thanks for the input. I have actually ordered one of these and have been having second thoughts. I will squelch them and just wait for it to arrive.

In that order? OK.

I like one of those things, and I grew up in the mid west so also like to visit there every once in a while, but not very often.

Hey, guns is a solid pick as well.

But, for me, not really an order.. All of them take my money.

As stated by "A Florida Man".

I have family in FL and it is fine for a weekend visit but that's about all I can handle.

If the intent is to leave the plate always on, then why not drill? Other solutions are designed for if you want the plate on sometimes. Personally I use a tow hook plate for when I need to get a ticket sign off or parking in a high enforcement area.

I use Sto N Sho from here.

https://bigmikesperformanceparts.com...4-m3-m2-sns67/

Pretty much never have it on though, just when parking someplace where I might get a ticket, or if a cop asks me about my front plate.... oops it's in my trunk, must have taken it off when I washed the car, can I put it on right now?

Gotta go to the right parts of FL. I'm not talking the palm beaches, lol.

I've seen an m2 with a European style license plate with the same number as the normal plate on the back. I don't know where/how he got it. I know that you could still be pulled over for not having a regular plate but it might be better than having nothing.

I don't think the tow hook license plate looks too bad. It's what I have right now, and you can position it to not trip any of the front parking sensors. The other way is to just leave off and deal with the tickets if you do get caught. Depending on where you are it might be a small price to pay.
