Aftermarket Seats with Electric Sliders

Thinking of fitting RECARO Sportster CS seats to an OG and notice that most people switch to a manual sliding mechanism. I’ve heard that RECARO makes an F87-specific adapter/frame which allows the seat to use the factory electric sliders (presumably with some aftermarket switches to move for area and back). Does anyone use this? If so, what is the compromise? Does it sit higher to clear the electric motors etc? Or is it just that folks don’t want to disassemble their factory seats?
