Which color M2 were you at this session? I was there in intermediate group with my E34 M5 (only E34 M5 there as is usually the case) and grouped in the paddock with an instructor buddy with '81 euro 635csi and another with E46 M3. I had a terrible Saturday session and a much much better Sunday session.

We were also at the May session at Autobahn South that you appeared to be at. Same group of guys parked off toward the entrance to the north track.

Hey, just saw this - was off net for the holidays

Mine's a white one. I instruct for most of the Midwest clubs when the calendar works out. We were in the garages at the Putnam event. Stop by and say hi at the next one!

I did a 2:05.623 in Buttonwillow 13C. It was in the 4th session late afternoon, so I already put away RaceChrono and the external GPS. I just wanted to have fun... turns out you are quick while having fun There is plenty of time left on the table (including the sideways action at offramp ). The car is a stock M2C with RE71R and RBF600 brake fluid.

I managed to improve my time to 2:02.283 this weekend, thats more than 3 seconds better w/o any modifications, yey. Lets see if I can get closer or even under the 2 minute mark next month.

Anyone have any details around that 1:41 at Laguna Seca? Was that stock M2c?

Was my first day out in the M2C yesterday at Laguna Seca, had a great time!

Got it down to a 1:44.2. Stock other than brake fluid flush to RB600

I've got work to do but goal is 1:42s

Hi all, I just had my first track day in a long while and man was it a thrill. Going into the weekend I was a little discouraged to be put into the beginner group again when I was running solo 3-4 years ago but that changed quickly as the instructor gave all sorts of small pointers that helped to not focus on what a beginner student would work on but rather on giving pointers on where I could trail brake, and where I could take a quicker line that I was able to verify with an advanced run group friend later as a passenger.
With an instructor with me and the car being overall stock with Pilot Sport 4s and stock pads, I ran a 2:38.64 on my first weekend ever at Motorsport Ranch Cresson 3.1. While I wasn’t able to be consistent in laptimes due to traffic in my run group, it allowed me to slow down and focus on making smooth inputs and turn off all the aids to learn the limits of the car.
