It's in a tough spot. Expensive enough to get you into "faster" cars, but those cars are also heavier. I find heavier cars less fun in day to day tooling around unless they bring something unique to the table. I was at the mall a couple of days ago and there was a zl1 Camaro on display. No 1le package. Completely underwhelming. The gt350/500 is gorgeous in my opinion. It's still a heavy car. Vette loses a lot of versatility as does the gt4.
If you really want to go have fun around town get an ND Miata, upgrade suspension, wheels/tires. Brake upgrade if tracking. Low speed hooligan all day long. |

I almost wonder if this was a subversive plot to see how people responded to the “unconfirmed” number....given that many think the US will get the majority of the worldwide allocations, maybe they’re still trying to nail down the final price.

...with a $30k price premium over my base M2, no thanks. For me, the CS needed to be in the 718 weight class to justify its (unconfirmed) $83k MSRP, regardless of all the upgrades it's gained.

83k is rough. I was honestly expecting to have a CCB equipped car for that price. It's just a smaller m4c at this point. That's a 75k car. I think they should keep the price low, and combine the c and cs build slots. Build as many as poeple want to buy.

Honestly having a small OCD issue with the checkerboard cf
roof combined with standard CF weave mirrors and tail... Bothers the eye 😇

are the back seats Merino? I sorta assumed this, but noticed only the front seats get specifically mentioned as being Merino. Maybe I missed it.

How is this car not lighter? Can someone explain. With roof, hood, seats, and adaptive suspension. The only way u actually lose weight is with CCB? The carbon lip is the only added piece when talking about weight. I'm confused on how it can still be equal weight with the components I mentioned being lighter.

Oh and the lack of comfort entry and another climate zone. If it weighs the same wouldn't it make sense to leave the zone and entry so people wouldn't bitch more?

I've also driven quite a few, and if I were to start looking that way would be interested in a GT3 or Cayman GT4. While I admire Porsches for what they are, I'm absolutely not in the market for a six figure car. As it is, as a 25 year fan of the BMW marque I'm struggling with the idea of BMW M4s priced at that level ( I know - high end 2 series models are next ! ) besides...... My driving days on track began in an E30 M3 chasing down Porsche 951s... I prefer passing Porches . |

Common misunderstanding on carbon parts - they save weight on anything.
Not when they replace plastic parts. As to weight, my bet is on 40lbs saving spec for spec (w/o CCB). The Europe magazine who tested them at Hockenheim GP circuit already weighed both.

Let's not forget that the 763M wheels weigh approximately 17 lbs less than the 788M wheels from the M2C. That is an easy way to save some weight.
