Touch pad
I was disappointed when I found the touch pad wasn't enabled on the dial when scrolling maps.
Today, for some reason, the tough pad worked. The map would move like my previous 2017 M2. Anyone know how to engage the touch pad? It seems it was a fluke. |

I thought our dial was a touch pad too, but mine doesn't do shit. Maybe we have to enable it ?

I'm pretty sure you can't use it to scroll around on the map screen though, which is what i always wish it could do. You have to reach out and get the screen all smudgy to do that. |

They seem to remove it on the touch screen version because I guess they felt it was redundant. |

I have the same complaint going from 2017 M240ix to M2C.
You have to touch the map on the screen first, then the touch pad works to navigate around. So stupid. I don't use the touch screen for anything else but to enable the pad. Somehow I made a shortcut to this feature on the 1-8 memory keys, but forgot how I did it. So I press '2' and then the touch pad works on the map. /shrug Glad someone else finds this annoying. I also miss the old turn signal, and the button for auto/rain sensing wipers! |

While in the Map, if you hit the control knob left you get the map sub-menu. The bottom selection is the 'Interactive Map' option. The touch pad then works for moving the map around.
That said, I didn't know that if you touch the screen (which I don't like doing because of my apparently greasy fingers) you could then use the touch pad to move the map. Thanks! |

When I think of stupid comments like that, it's how I know I'm burnt out and don't wanna deal with the world anymore. |
