Airbag fitment problem with M2 CS Steering Wheel
Hello guys! First post here, hope i'm doing the right thing!
So i just got the M2CS steering wheel for my M2C and after swapping the controls & paddle shifters i'm having an issue with the airbag. It has this big gap that you can see in the photo. I took it off and tried repositioning it with no luck. I thought all the airbags are the same between all the f30/f80/f82 etc m-sport/m2,3,4 wheels so all i can think of is that the steering wheel i got is flawed...any suggestions? Does it have any adjustment inside, am i missing something? |

The airbag doesn't look fully seated. How hard did you press the airbag, it should snap into place.
When you moved the controls to the M2 CS wheel, did you make sure to route all the wires identically? You could have something that is blocking the "airbag pin" hole and prevent it from pushing the spring lock and seating. |

One thing to check aside from both pins being secure (You should hear 2 distinct clicks) is that the bolt to the wheel is fully seated and torqued. It can look like it is but not be which may be preventing the airbag from fully seating. Should torqued to 62 Nm ~ 46 ft-lb

Hey I knows it's been a while but did you ever fix this issue? I'm currently having the same gap occur on my 2018 M2 after I installed an aftermarket alcantara steering wheel.
