Hi all, first post from a long-time lurker. Took delivery June 1 of my new 2018 M2 - alpine white, exec pkg, 6-spd manual. Traded a Focus RS and it is, needless to say, a pretty big step up.
What did I do for it today? Actually, I'm a few days late with this. I spent the weekend continuing my life's work finding every fabulous driving road in the state of Wisconsin, on my way to Road America. The M2 had a blast and we were both wearing big smiles by Sunday. Touring companions were my two Porsche buddies ('15 Cayman S and '14 Boxster S). This really is a wonderful car. Great power delivery, excellent grip, nice balance, perfect gearing (although so-so gearchange), and takes a nice set in fast corners. Cleaned the bugs and brake dust off on Monday morning. Great "get to know you" tour, but while on Sport+ I found out what that "off" light next to the skidding car on the dash means Dave |

Thanks so much for the info.
One last question. What solution did you use for the seatbelt stalk (original mounts off seat rail base on m2) Does the lightweight kit have provision to mount the seatbelt stalk? |

Yesterday I washed and clayed the car then gave it a coat of hydrosilex recharge. Went on super easy. Really got the wheels looking nice. The car looks great. I hope it lasts. Curious how well it’ll repel dirt and make future washings easier. Never tried a product like this. I like it.

Tire replaced after just 400 miles
After owning the car for a week, I wanted to put miles on it and joined in on Group 2 Motorsports Drivetrain event last weekend here in Seattle.
Sometime after leaving the last location and pulling into my garage, I picked up a screw in the sidewall of the rear right tire. Irreparable! Tirerack delivered the $300 replacement next day and here it is back at Group 2 getting the tire balanced and fitted....

The Lightweight brackets have a little drilling on the corresponding side (driver/passenger) to fix the buckles. |

Took my car up to SCR Performance in Loveland for a brake bleed ahead of second track night of the season tonight. Stock pads looked pretty good considering I whaled on them in ultra hot conditions during the first event. Going to run them into the ground and upgrade next season.
