So my front passenger side tire pressure went from about 33-34 over the past couple days to 28 that it showed up on my screen that the pressure is 28 please refill air warning. I went to refill air and reset the tpms sensor and it still says 28??? I dont usually have a passenger sitting there and I don't think I have a hole as I'd think the pressure would keep going down. This is a new car also so I don't think it's the equipment either. Should I just bring it to the dealer tomorrow or wait a day? Not a huge temp change maybe 10f? But it got warmer not colder.

Could be a faulty tpms sensor. I'd have the dealer check it.

I would look to see if there is a nail in the tire.

The TPMS does a reading periodically, not instantly. I am not sure what the interval is, but it may be 30 seconds or 15 seconds.

If air wasnt holding you should hear it come out as you were adding air.

If it stil doesn't update, after 30 seconds then I'd say faulty sensor.

As for nail, that isn't a given. Temps can drop overnight and cause loss of air pressure. Happens to me from time to time.

That all being said. If you reset TPMS and went for a drive and the psi still reads 28 after that, it could be a nail in the tire

Use a tire pressure guage. The TPMS is a guide but it's not that accurate. 28 is too low. I'd check the tire with a guage every morning to see if there's a trend.

What alps said, a good tire pressure gauge with a release valve is forty bucks, totally worth it.

I picked this gauge up recently and love it. Soo much better than the pen style I've been using all my life.

That is one fancy guage! I bought a little digital one since I don't have a compressor. I use my bicycle pump

I don't have a compressor either. That one was first one I found that did what I needed. Mainly I was looking for a digital gauge that also would let air out. The connector also locks onto the valve, which keeps from having to keep pressure on the gauge yourself. It's big though. Yours looks like a good one for the glovebox for quick checks.

Oh, I see what you mean. It is a good deal too. I'll keep it in my saved basket.

Edit: I couldn't resist, I just ordered one. It had a $2 coupon and offered one day delivery.

Edit2: I compared the two air pressure guages listed above. They register exactly the same. I'll go out on a limb and say that they are accurate.
