I got out for a solo sesh and happened upon a fun car on a fun road. Some decent group drives going on but I’ve been working to repair my deck before the snow falls.

I hope that some of you are able to get out and enjoy the roads before the snow and sand bring the summer driving season to an end.

Third pic makes me smile. Also had fun this past weekend with some domestic abuse. The fun kind, not the trailer park kind. Saturday it was a Mustang GT that seemed to have forgot it wasn’t a Mustang GTD. That didn’t last long. Sunday encountered a SS 1LE and after a mile or two of civility he decided to push. Had a tank full of emix and the PFC pads were on from last track outing so he was in the way.

When the road straightened out he tried his luck again and that too was futile. LT1 sounded good lit up though. I need a GoPro.

I think I need carbon Pole Positions like you so I can have a proper mount for it

Anything else just won’t do.

Technically not a drive since I didn’t leave the driveway, but the colors are so nice and I can’t help myself.

Not an F87 mountain drive (although that's the car I used to own), but here's a G87 drive in some local hills.

Oh that’s awesome! We rarely get fog where I’m at. Super cool affect for pictures but I imagine the fog slowed the drive up a bit.

Very cool pictures, thanks for sharing!

Sorry, man. Good to hear you’ve made it through the storm safely. Unfortunately, that’s not true for all families. So much devastation from one severe storm with a second one pounding FL for a second time.

Missing out on great mountain roads for a while is worth it given the potential other alternatives. Stay safe.

It's really sad. So many people devastated and I don't believe enough warning was given. I feel like someone had to have been smart enough to know that 15" of rain on saturated ground in such a short period would cause this. I think deaths are over 200 just in NC.

Yeah 200 dead is pretty crazy. Without getting into politics, I wonder if the distrust of “experts” or local government contributed? I’m sure there’s a lot of factors that played into so many deaths. I’m pretty far removed so it’s hard to say from my perspective. With so many fun roads that seemed to follow the rivers, I’d say it’s very probable that many fun roads are gone forever.
