So I'm visiting my daughter and SOL, they live outside of Thunder Bay on Lake Superior. We went for a long boat ride today, stopped at an abandoned silver mine on South Mckellar Island and then over to a neat cove on Pie Island. Went for a swim at Pie Island, Lake Superior is a bit chilly kids. Sorry about the quality but I shot them with my iPhone.

We visited Dachau outside of Munich in May of this year. This is the first camp and became the blueprint for human processing throughout the rest of the camps. You are right - no words.

I’ve been to Dachau and Sachsenhausen in the outskirts of Berlin.

I had the unique privilege of touring the Nevada Test Site, now referred to as the National Security Site (NSS) before they closed it to the public. It was a very interesting tour and a little surreal to be standing at ground zero on Frenchman's Flat and on the rim of the Sedan crater.

I forgot to post this previously.

A couple of weeks ago we went and saw the mighty Depeche Mode in a tiny little place in Austria called Klagenfurt.

I’ve seen no better concert and was made even more special by the accompanying 30,000 screaming Europeans.

Get and see them if you can, they’ve still got it!

Time for some Swedish war history.

We’ve visited the Vasa museum in Stockholm.

Vasa was built around 1630 and sunk on its maiden voyage.

It is huge!!

It’s about 70 metres long and 50 metres high.
