I got my 2018 LCI in AW with 6MT, roof, adaptive led and phone packages for almost 5K off MSRP and 2.15% rate last week.
I had a choice between M2C and LCI and couldn’t pass on this insane deal plus that sound of N55... |

An M1 Abrams tank, depending on the version, consumes about 2 US gallons of fuel per mile. Maybe a bit more if it was equipped with 788M treads and 2NH M brakes.

No question or decision here!
Congratulations to anyone who acquires the new M2C. I’m sure the car is improved in many ways.
I will be keeping my 2018 LCI LBB M2, but not because it is better or worse than the M2C. I’m keeping the M2 because I love the car and it is absolutely perfect for me. Enjoy whatever version you have or may end up with and enjoy your evening on this forum while I am out driving and enjoying my M2! |

Unless you track the beast, the difference is looks (interior and exterior) and sound. And maybe some psychic value of having the newest. And if you like to tune. That said, you can't get either car out of third gear legally at redline. In fact, you're over the limit in 3rd.
So then there's the track. It looks like BMW tried to fix the cooling issue that some get on hot days (limp mode) and the braking which has some but less complaints. Against that, there's more weight in the front. So what to make of these changes for the track? WE DON'T KNOW YET. I'm looking forward to the track reviews by members. Of course, better tires and even a street/track coilover/ camber-plate setup would make the OG faster. On an equal basis the S55 will be faster but we'll the need to see the track reviews to really know how it handles. Seems a bit much to trade the OG for the comp unless you're seriously into tracking (and are getting a new suspension), need to have the latest, or luv those hideously ugly grill, muffler/diffuser , and wheels. We're lucky to have these first world problems. |

I dropped 2 allocations first at two different dealerships. One of my allocations, it would seem, was scooped up by someone in Denver... or we both had #1 spots.

Really the worst wheels I've ever seen on an M car. Look like they're from eBay for $399 a set. LOL.

The front bumper on the competition is too much.

$60,650 for a Fully loaded non sunroof M2 Competition doesn't seem like a bad deal to me compared to how much the old M2 Costed. I would never buy one because the S55 sounds awful but, it's probably a slightly better driving car and the updates seem to be reasonably priced for what they changed.
