The only thing I set to nicht aktiv was the TCM_startlock_clutch stop. I didn't touch TCM_startlock_brake so I assume that is still set to aktiv. |

The most common post recommends inverting that (which I assume is the auto/DCT setting): https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1168116 However, that doesn't work, as many folks found out. Turn off both, and immediately after you should be able to give the car electrical power and depress the clutch without the car starting automatically--you'll need to press and hold the ignition until the engine starts. Did this two days ago after a warranty service reset everything, so I can confirm you shouldn't have to wait at all. |

1. TCM_STARTLOCK_CLUTCH set to Nicht Aktiv. 2. TCM_STARTLOCK_BRAKE set to Nicht Aktiv (never changed it). 3. I have no increase in RPMs with a gear engaged. |

It feels more normal to me. I've been driving manuals for 33 years and counting. I didn't like it. Glad I have the option to turn it on/off at will.

I liked the novelty of rev match for about a week or two, then I realised it was robbing me of one of the most important parts of driving a manual 'box.
I turned it fully off in BM3 and now I feel like I know the car and engine a whole lot better. With it on or off in differnt modes you can't adjust your brain to drive consistently (forget whether its on or off). So OFF all the time means I learn properly how to control the rotating mass of the engine and learn the fine throttle control needed. Not just "on it" drives, but pootling in town or parking up - managing engine speed and shifts yourself is fun! |

I guess that's the (very first world) problem with having a bunch of different modes for throttle response. |

My code:
TCM_STARTLOCK_BRAKE => nicht_aktiv TCM_STARTLOCK_CLUTCH => nicht_aktiv TCM_STARTLOCK_DRIVINGREADINESS => nicht_aktiv Rev matching deactivated. I confirm double pressure on start button and a little increase in about 200 RPM when i stop the car and engaged every gear. If i push break it comes back to minimu. i dream a world where i can turn off rev matching permanently without side effect! |

Do you think it would be possible to activate rev match in DSC off using coding ?

DME flash yes, you can do all that. As I detest rev match in all its forms I took great pleasure in turning it fully off using BM3, but you can configure a variety of on/off options. These other options are ideal if you want a manual box but can't be bothered with the hassle to operate it properly yourself Last edited by doughboy; 10-20-2020 at 03:26 PM.. |

Some forum members told us that MHD had this option but it was NOT true and my friend baught mhd for nothing.. On Porsche GT cars there is a single button to turn in on or off.

Hence the reason all the side effects, since the vehicle doesn't have a reading of where the clutch pedal position is, it can't modulate the RPM, upon take off or commence the stater safety interlock. As far as I know, flash tuning is the only proper way to disable rev-matching, sans the lingering effects. |

As a side note, maybe Im the only idiot but first few times I coded this in, I couldnt start the car and was panicking. Turns out you have to hold the start button now as opposed to just clicking it once to start up. |

Here you are a new setting by bimmercode on my 118D:
FEM / EXPERT MODE / 3020 Tc MASTER: TCM_STARTLOCK_BRAKE =>aktiv TCM_STARTLOCK_CLUTCH => nicht_aktiv TCM_STARTLOCK_DRIVINGREADINESS => nicht_aktiv You start engine with only one push of button and getting down bouth pedal (Brake + clutch) I confirm in this setting too a little increase in about 200 RPM when i stop the car and engaged every gear. I find more confortable this setting. I hated to push buttons two times by first setting. Last edited by Happy77; 03-11-2021 at 01:52 PM.. |

Do you know if the new M2C's coming out in 2021 will be able to have the same settings removed like the older ones. I have been reading the newer cars don't have the ECU unlocked so this may not work so I am looking for someone that has bought a new M2C to see if this is the case or if I am getting wrong information. |
