Basically

I do try leave later and avoid rush hour (rarely possible to avoid) which ends up being more like 1st/2nd for 2 - 3 hours a day at least.

Thank goodness for the crawl/creep feature in first and second.

hot damn where do you live and commute to?

I just drove across the valley in 1st-2nd gear and I wanted to die. This car is fairly painful to drive in traffic.

I eventually switched to efficient/comfort but that didn't make things much better.

The times I've had to drive in the LA area during rush, I never saw much in the way of trucks to use as cover, but in Chicago area, when I was DD 50 miles each way, I grew to appreciate idling along in 1st following all the damn semis around here. Through the worst of the traffic, it prevents the left leg from being 2x normal size, and minimizes road rage inclinations... They don't want to stop or shift either for an hour straight

It might be because I coded a bunch of things onto the car like hoding the lock button will raise my windows, lock my doors, close the sunroof and turn my mirrors in.

I find the convenience around that to be superior to being able to check if my car is locked when I walked away.

The car is configured and setup perfectly for me now, I dont want the dealer to touch it

Early/mid September with 3900 miles so far. Haven't been able to take it on any trips yet as weather is a bit anti-M2 at the moment.

Coding such options is highly unlikely to cause any issues with the App.

I suggest you just kill the App on your phone and start it again afterwards.

BMW had a few problems on their servers lately, this might also be a part of your problem.

12k? Not sure if that's impressive or insane. Did you buy the press car? Guess that great SoCal weather helps to get the miles in. I have about 780 in 3 weeks and I hope I can get to 1200 in the next several weeks. Going to be tough to do here on the east coast with our winter weather. Not planning to change from summer tires so I'll park it soon.
