Backbox delete from Zaustworx

Guys, a member of a Facebook group shared the following exhaust option. It’s basically a backbox delete available via mail order. Expected price is gonna be around £250.

I think this is a suitable solution for people that want a quick option for the removal of that ugly backbox.

In the end, you will lose your valves and therefore the valve control, and the system is of course not homologated.

Be warned - loping off the back box and swapping out to unresonated/unsilenced straight piped sections can result in a lot of drone in the cabin.

New update on this system after hearing it today on Veebee's M2C. The system itself removes the rear damper / backbox / rear muffler from the car. You cut the two pipes and instead two single pipes are placed which each have dual end pipes.

Interestingly this also means the valves are gone! No more valve control. The system is always "open" so to speak. The sound track is one which resembles the stock system, just a lot louder. It lacks any kind of character, just burbles away in sport plus. You will hear that on the video below. There is no high pitch snarl, it is in many ways just a louder version of the standard car.

It is cheapest option available in the market and that is clear when you listen to it. Personally, not something I would spend my cash on really. It is an interesting idea, but all in all I would have spend the money on black paint for the massive stock muffler.

Need hear aa mid and udder delete. I may take this design route.

Would drop a ton of weight between deleting all cats, resonators, and the udder.

Thank you for sharing, OP.

Im not a fan of muffler delete on any BMW; the sound is not refined; it's just loud.

It's a good option for customers who want a louder sound for cheap, but in my opinion, you are better off investing in a quality exhaust to match the car you drive.
