Rock to the AC Condenser=$2700
Hey Everyone...was driving on Tuesday and heard a hissing noise from my vents followed by no more cold air with the AC on. Took it to Winslow BMW in Colorado Springs - a rock missed my Dinan heat exchanger by 1/4 inch but did hit the top left of the condenser and now it's done. The tech says this is ultra rare, but the bill is just under $2700. Just FYI if you run into this...it took several hours for them to locate the leak.

A rock took out my stock heat exchanger and my dealer incorrectly diagnosed a leaking radiator as the source of the coolant smell. So they replaced the radiator under warranty (??).
After additional cold weather, the leak got bigger to where I can see it easily in the heat exchanger. I ended up swapping the heat exchanger myself, since there was no way my SA would approve that under warranty. It wasn't nearly as expensive... but rocks suck.
