So I inadvertently loaded the 91 octane version of the Stage 1 tune a couple of weeks ago and the power was amazing. I've been meaning to load the 93 octane version and hadn't gotten around to it until today. I didn't expect much a difference but the idea a few extra ponies was tempting.
I'm totally blown away. Perhaps I'm missing something. Can someone please quantify the actual difference in terms of HP/TQ between the two? To me it almost felt as drastic of a difference going from stock to 91 Stage 1 as going from the 91 Stage 1 to the 93 octane version. What a screamer. Holy hell. |

Sub-zero Octane difference between 93-91 - the timing is lowered by 1-2 degrees and boost is lowered by 1-2 depending on rpm. Estimating difference is about 20-25 hp/tq

After hearing all the great reports about the CS+ map I decided to load it first. It definitely was a performance upgrade you could feel in the seat of your pants. After a couple days, I was board and thought I’d try the stage 1 93 map. What a kick in the ass! Not even remotely close IMHO!
Makes me wonder what a custom E85 map would feel like? I’ve said this before & I’ll say again here. What a wonderful time we live in. Just a couple decades ago, an increase in power that’d equal this simple flash would have meant.....heads off, ported & re-worked, camshaft replacement, intake carburetor upgrade, headers ....sweat & tears. Ruined fuel mileage. Drivability would never be the same. Smell like fuel all the time. Yuck. |

Thank you all for these updates! Keep them coming. I can't hear enough about how crazy and fun a tuned M2C is. I will work up the courage to do it myself I hope. Until then, I live vicariously through your tales.
