From what I understand is that South African BMW's are one of the lightest there are from a production perspective because we do not have to abide to USA safety regulations and at the same time don't have all the OPF additions to our builds. I am extremely curious to see what the standard weight of our M2Cs are.

As for the games, we need to set some ground rules! LOL!

Ground rules? Easy...

Measure your stock car with a full tank of fuel and remove all from the car it did not came with. Keep the warning triangle in there and also the paper manual, replacement light kit and tools.

I will do the same and then we determine our baseline! Then we measure after one or more upgrades and see how much we shed off. You have to make a photo/video of the measuring tool. Video is better, because it is hard to photoshop. hahaha

Best idea?

Update 19/10/2018
##############################################

My car finally arrived at the dealership and I could not be more happy and excited. I literally spent the entire day at the dealership waiting for the carrier to arrive. The excitement got the better of me and I was forced to take the day off to just be there and get my dose of M2C. The car in the flesh does not disappoint and exceeds all expectations.

I quickly got the dealer to put the car on a lift where I wanted to see if I got OPF filters or standard secondary CATS. From what I can tell, these are standard CATS - YAY to NO OPF

The dealership then proceeded to complete PDI on the vehicle, and it was very interesting to see the programming of the vehicle and the checks that the vehicle goes through to remove transport mode. The results speak for themselves, HS really cannot be captured in/on a photo and can only truly be appreciated in the flesh.

The real work begins from Monday, where all the MPerf parts and extras get added to the car, but as a little teaser I needed to at least see one thing installed to scratch my itch!

I am actually speechless at how beautiful this car is and as I went for the PDI test drive, was blown away at the small taste of what this car can do. This is a truly going to be something special.

More to come...
<sorry for the iPhoneX pics>

Wow! She's beautiful! I would seriously have to consider HS if I were buying a new one.

HS is probably one of the most dynamic colors I have seen on a BMW in a long time. There are literally so many tones and contrasts to the color in different angles and lighting, definitely a must for the M2C.

Update 23/10/2018
##############################################

35% Tint done all round (windshield excluded) on the car, 763M wheels with MPCS2 installed (no spacers yet). I have to say the 763M compared to the 788s are far more aggressive on the M2C. The car just comes alive especially with the matte finish breaking against HS. I truly do prefer the 763M hands down. There is a nice photo below comparing the contrast of the 29U 788 vs the 763M

Looks great! I really like how you align the M logo on the wheel with the M on the brake, nice touch.

Great photos and info Meanie.

i read on a German forum the difference between normal M sport seats and the M2C seats with the logo is 1.7kg each.

To make the car (steer/feel) lighter you already fitted the 763s which gives an unsprung weight reduction but now the biggest part: Getting rid of the way too heavy big brakes.

Great car, great mods.

Baaie mooi man. Can't we give her a name: Charlize?

Cheers

Heavier, I didn't mention it. But I only weigh about 71kgs so no problem.

### Small Update ###

My car is busy getting the external Mperf parts added (this includes the MP CF Hood getting sprayed), I should be getting the car back at the dealership towards the end of the week or early next week. @IND-Distribution has completed my custom parts and here are some pics they sent through to me (I cannot wait for these to arrive).

Hood is nearly finished, all external parts installed but I don't have any pics to share yet. I will post up more pics when the car arrives back at the dealership.

*** Update 07/11/18 ***

The car has just arrived back from the panel shop, where they have done nothing short of an incredible job. The MP parts that have been added have given the car such an aggressive and unique look. The tips definitely needed an upgrade from the standard 70mm tips and just fills the back of the car up so nicely. Each part has in my opinion enhanced the car so much more. It is truly starting to look like a proper M now.

Side note: For anybody wanting to get the CF hood, make sure that if you get it painted that you ensure that your panel shop sands the edges down properly, the shop that did mine said the hoods edges were horrible.

Lots more to come...

Parts that have been added in this update:

- MP CF Hood
- MP CF Front Lip
- MP CF Rear Spoiler
- MP CF Winglets
- Sprayed exhaust
- VRSF 90mm tips
