Fitting the M4 MPE sounds like it would be a lot easier. Considering the other exhaust thread saying M4 rear sections will fit, maybe with some minor modifications.

Personally I'd just wait for bmw and all the aftermarket companies to release a proper M2C exhaust rather than hacking one up and ghetto rigging it. Especially an akra. I can't imagine it would be that difficult to sell it to an M2 owner and then use that money towards a new exhaust that was actually designed to fit in the first place.

We tried it and mounted the akra muffler from the m4 on the m2c.
The valves did not work and the sound was not a good one.

The car, speaking for the EU version, def need its own system to get a good sound out of it. Would not recommend it the way we tried.

That is interesting the values didn’t work. Did the M4 Akra muffler hangers and pipes line up?

We are getting closer and closer to the news. I am there on the 14th/15th, but I have been promised content for you guys before that.

Everyone is on holiday now, so next week should be the moment I can share something with you all.

All I can say is that the first step is around the corner relatively sooner than we all thought.

Waiting here as well for the content. I am ready to type the story but I don't have any content yet to include in it.

Also this motorbike show is happening in Europe, so they are focused on that right now. If I have something to share, you are the first one to hear it here on Bimmerpost, I promise.

I just released my story about the exhaust process. You will find it here: https://drivetribe.com/p/akrapovic-e...TRyQV9vn1ow_EA Additionally, I can share that a second update is coming quite quickly including a dyno video, more performance details and graphs.

For those interested in the new titanium exhaust system, the new Akrapovic slip-on system for the M2C will be on display at the two-yearly Tuning Day held on the 30th of November at the Akrapovic dealer Beek Auto Racing in the Hague, the Netherlands. I am on site and will happily take you out in my M2 Competition so that you can hear the prototype system fitted to my car.

Part 2 of the Akrapovic story features more about the prototype slip-on line exhaust and my initial experiences with the exhaust!

And this is how the Akrapovic exhaust on my car sounds like with a linkpipe instead of the OPFs

And this is how it sounds in comparison to a stock M2C with OPF

There are OPFs installed in the exhaust line. It is like this in Europe, nothing new.

I know, i got one myself with opf! Only 480km on the odo and now its garaged until April! Ive only revved up to 5000rpm but i do think there is a difference in sound.

Edit: This is more representative for the oem sound i think

For the price point I think it is a poor effort sound wise. Build quality will be on point Im sure. All they have done is increase the raspy/tinny sound.

These two sound much better, both with OPF's in place.

I agree, my OPF M2C sounds nothing like that one in the comparison video.

As always, removing the cat (or opf in these case) the sound get worse to me. The best solution for a nice sound is the cat/opf back in my opinion.
