The review by the British guy in the second video makes it look like he is from the BMW marketing department. He even says the M2C has a new different steering wheel.

That's true if you count the missing buttons lol. That guy's review was the worst.

Car Advice (AU)
https://www.caradvice.com.au/671418/...tition-review/

“We also had pretty much the full spread of recent M-Cars to go and play with, yet I can report without fear of contradiction that the Competition was the pick of the bunch, taking everything in its stride – carrying huge speed when asked to do so, but also finding better traction on the dusty surfaces than the old M2 would have.”

Goodwood Motorsport
https://www.goodwood.com/grrc/road/t...2-competition/

“It might be understated in looks, but dynamically this extraordinary coupé is one of the most entertaining cars on sale, anywhere... ...So the M2 Competition is likely to remain the best sports coupé you've never heard of; buy it now before they're all gone... ”

Thinking the same. I want to drive this track great turns/ straights and looks to have ample room for any mistakes. Seems like a great track to test breaks after long straights that turn to a technical section.

The M2 Competition replaces the ‘plain’ M2 with the promise of better on-the-limit handling and more muscle. And boy, does it deliver
Quote:
Should I buy one?

That limit playfulness – the rear differential’s willingness to lock, let you ride out a slide on neutral steer or with everything crossed up – remains the M2’s ultimate party trick. But this time it has more dimensions than that. It has more keenness, incisiveness and engagement all the time. It's a sports car, not a muscly coupé.

When Porsche moved to a four-cylinder engine, I wondered if its rivals would sense a weakness, an opportunity. BMW is the first to really take it. I give you one of the best driver’s cars of the year.

I have noticed whith car magazines and reviews they will praise a car for being lightweight, but rarely are there any negatives connotations about a car’s abundance in weight.

Certain cars are so good they can outshine certain specs. It could be when driving, it doesn't even cross their mind. Take the current Camaro for example. It is a lot heavier than the M2, but yet it universally praised for its chassis and driving dynamics.

No. Lots of cars get pinged for being heavy when it negatively affects the car. In the M2C case clearly it isn’t a factor at all other than on a piece of paper... or a forum

How does it drive?

It’s brilliant. That sounds like a simple truth, I know, but that's the way it is. Up to this point, the M2 was a very good, very entertaining car with a fine – but by no means towering – engine. To call the M2 Competition an all-engine car now would be nonsense, but only because the rest is far too good.

"If the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, the BMW M2 and M2 Pure were like a pair of atomic-powered sulphur flares when they exploded onto the Australian performance scene in 2016.

But worry not, M fans, because a replacement is on its way. Meet the M2 Competition; the fastest, hardest, most track-focused M2 to date, compliments of its new engine, bigger brakes and more slippery aerodynamics."

"The M2 Competition is a great BMW M car, it ticks all the boxes for a driver who takes driving seriously and wants to have fun. But is it better than the M2 that preceded it? Nope, unfortunately, the initial excitement of having an M3/4 motor under the bonnet subsides as the fierce torque distribution (to get the tyres working under power) take something away from the M2's purity. That said, the M2 Competition is still the best M car available (because it replaces the outgoing M2). In spite of its engine it's still an M2 – its sweetly-balanced handling characteristics remain."
