Sport most of the time. I find sport plus too loud with the MPE and my de-catted downpipe.

I really hate the throttle response in Sport+, it makes the car a bit hard to drive smoothly. I believe in my F30 the throttle response between Sport and Sport+ was the same, the only difference was the MDM being active. I miss that.

Now my only option is to run MDM mode for the increased slip. My issue is that the valves stay closed and the throttle is in comfort, which makes the car feel a bit dead.

I'm the opposite, can't drive the car smooth in Comfort mode, only in Sport+

I drive in Sport+ 100% of the time unless it's cruising on the highway or raining, put it in boring comfort mode.

Sport with traction control (partially) disabled. Like the throttle response on sport, and the minimal traction control on sport+. This setup is the perfect marriage of both.

I don't believe that is possible. The moment you tap the MDM button it goes into it's own mode (not tied to comfort, sport or sport+).

Currently comfort mode until I pass the break-in period .. then sport mode most of the time; sport+ for spirited driving

On the street, Comfort if it's really cold and wet and I want that wimpy throttle response, otherwise Sport or DSC Off. I've been using DSC off less lately, 'cause it has a deleterious effect on my tire budget. Why yes, I've disabled ASC.

Track or autocross, DSC off.

IMO, Sport+ is bling/marketing. It reminds of me of the way GM used to set up their throttle linkages: the first 1" of travel gave you 1/2 the actual throttle opening, so you think the car is more powerful than it actually is.

Why do some people think that during the break in period, the car must be kept in comfort mode only? I drive in Sport + all the time but make sure to keep rpm below 5000 during break in...

Not possible. There are only 5 modes of operation:

DSC OFF (No TC)
MDM (Partial TC)
Sport+ (Partial TC)
Sport (Full TC)
Comfort (Full TC)

The second you press the traction button you're in MDM mode. That's what you've been driving in this whole time.

Bypass it or code it out! Before I did so, I used Comfort mode mostly, mainly because of the ASD annoying drone in Sport.. Then, I got rid of it, and now use Sport most of the time.

Comfort until warmed up, parking garage, and bumper to bumper traffic. Sport when in auto mode (DCT) (10%) rest of time in Sport+ and “manual.”

This is one of the biggest reason that for me personally the M2C would be an upgrade. You can set these things up how you want. I am hoping we can steal the this part of the software from the M2C and flash it onto our M2s and grab the buttons and wire it up.

Since I have the downpipe and BM3 stage 1 flash, I usually drive in Comfort, it's a perfect combo for daily driving with enough low end torque and power. If I go to more interesting roads, Sport+.
